Art's new look

So after 2 1/2 weeks of cute long hair, Ben's Shih Tzu, Art, got his first shave. He did great. The groomer said that for a puppy and for his first time, he did amazing. Ben loves the puppy's new look. I think it is like getting a whole new puppy again. So here are the before and after photos. Housebreaking is tough, but Art is smart, I think he will get the hang off it soon. He already responds to his name, comes when called (half the time), knows "Out" of kitchen when we are eatting, and is getting good at sit. Izzy is testing her boundaries with a new pup in the house, they can be soo much like children sometimes.

Ben's 7th Birthday

Happy Birthday Ben!! Ben has been begging for a puppy since before we got Izzy. It was the only thing he wanted for his Birthday. So David and I caved. Ben had a great birthday. He got a 11 week old shih tzu puppy, a Wally transforming Robot, a Batman shirt, some books and a bubble gun. He named his puppy Art and I have been busy housetraining him. Ben is helping take care of him. He picks up dog poop and brushs Art each night, and sometimes goes out with Art to go potty. Easter has come up quick. We are not ready yet. I still have to dig through the storage and find the easter baskets and decorations and we need to get easter candy and color some eggs. Happy Easter Everyone.

Our little Toddler

Guess who is walking!! 10 months old yesterday, and Elijah is up and walking around the house. His favorite game is walking up and down the hallway and playing pick-a-boo in my bedroom doorway.

All Sick

We have been sick all weekend. Elijah has RSV, Scott has an ear infection and the rest of us have a cold. Eli hasn't wanted to do anything but sit with me. If I put him down or give him to David and leave the room to make dinner, he screams with his raspy cry. It makes it hard to get anything done. Scott is also clingy. David has started working for the shelter where he did his internship. They are giving him 20-25 hours a week. It will be a great thing to put on his resume when he finishes POST and police academy.
