He fell face first into the cement patio. You can't tell in this picture, but there is a big long bruise on the left side of his forehead and along with his entire nose scrapped up, he also cut his bottom lip. He is such a little trooper, though. He cried more from the ice pack I was trying to hold on his head than he did the actual fall. Of course, by the time I got him cleaned up, Izzy had eaten our PB&J Sandwiches off the small table outside. It was fun while it lasted.

Elijah's tumble
Scott, Elijah and I had a picnic lunch outside on our patio yesterday. We got the table and chairs out of the shed and enjoyed the nice weather. We were having a great time until Eli decided to turn around and stand up on his chair. Those little plastic chairs fall over so easily and he went down so fast that I couldn't catch him.

Snow in April
When David came home from work yesterday, it was raining. It had been raining most of the day. We spent the evening doing Justin's scouts and David played wii with Justin, Ben, and Adam, while I put Elijah to bed and watched a movie with Scott. At 9:30, David realized the time and the boys came upstairs. Scott had fallen asleep in my bed. As we put the boys to bed, Adam looked out his bedroom window to see a winter-wonderland. It had snowed 6 inches in the 3-4 short hours since we last looked outside. I spent 2 hours this morning shoveling heavy, sticky snow off the driveway and sidewalks. Since we are on a corner, we are responsible for the sidewalk all the way around our property. The snowplow had come and blocked in our driveway, and since we don't have park strips, the snowplow throws it partially up on the sidewalk, which makes shoveling even harder. But I am done and ready to start the day. The boys are digging out their snowsuits that we put away over a month ago and are excited to build snowmen and snow puppies. HAPPY SPRING everyone, LOL.

Happy Easter
All the boys are wearing "How to Train your Dragon" shirts and shorts that the easter bunny brought them. We went to see the movie yesterday. It is a really good movie. All the boys stayed captivated through the whole thing, which doesn't happen very often. David and I loved it too. Although we didn't see it in 3D, those glasses give me a headache, it was still the best film we have seen in a long while.

Art's new look
So after 2 1/2 weeks of cute long hair, Ben's Shih Tzu, Art, got his first shave. He did great. The groomer said that for a puppy and for his first time, he did amazing. Ben loves the puppy's new look. I think it is like getting a whole new puppy again. So here are the before and after photos. Housebreaking is tough, but Art is smart, I think he will get the hang off it soon. He already responds to his name, comes when called (half the time), knows "Out" of kitchen when we are eatting, and is getting good at sit. Izzy is testing her boundaries with a new pup in the house, they can be soo much like children sometimes.
